The formulation of the flu vaccine for the 2025/2026 season has been updated based on recommendations from the WHO and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) to better match the viruses experts expect will be most common in the upcoming season. Influenza vaccination during pregnancy and breastfeeding
Influenza vaccination is also recommended during pregnancy and can be given until the end of the 36th week, regardless of trimester. If you did not receive it during pregnancy, it is also safe to get the flu vaccine while breastfeeding. However, for added safety, expectant mothers should consult a doctor before getting the vaccine.
