Agreement of Services

Thank you for choosing FirstMed-FMC Kft. (hereinafter: FirstMed) as your outpatient healthcare provider. We are committed to providing the highest quality medical care. To avoid misunderstandings, please read this policy, ask any questions, and sign in the space provided on the front.

Scope of Services & Liability

FirstMed provides outpatient medical care only, within the service areas indicated at our clinics and on our website. Patients enter a legal relationship with FirstMed solely within the framework of outpatient care; FirstMed is responsible only for services provided within its clinics falling under this scope.

If a patient requires treatment beyond outpatient care, FirstMed may—upon request—recommend an inpatient or alternative outpatient institution. The patient chooses to use such services at their own discretion. The external institution is solely responsible for its services. FirstMed is not responsible for any medical services provided outside its clinics or beyond the scope of outpatient care.

The recommendation of an external institution by FirstMed or its doctors, or the fact that a patient is treated by a doctor who also has a relationship with FirstMed, does not affect this exclusion of responsibility for inpatient medical services.

Payment Terms

Payment is due at the time of service unless prior arrangements are made. We accept Hungarian Forint (HUF) and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, Eurocard).

  • Insurance: We direct-bill many international insurance companies. This requires a complete credit card guarantee of payment form. Deductibles and co-pays must be paid at the time of service. Please contact your insurer regarding coverage. If no credit card guarantee is provided, or your insurance is ineligible for direct billing, payment is due at the time of service.
  • Claims Submission: We will reasonably assist in obtaining insurance payments. If an insurer requires additional information or patient verification, the patient must provide this promptly. All balances are the patient’s responsibility if a claim is denied for any reason. Outstanding balances are due on request and before any additional check-in.
  • Co-payments & Deductibles: These must be paid at the time of service per your insurance contract. Failure to collect these may be considered fraud.

Missed Appointments

Appointments not canceled at least 24 hours in advance will be charged a ‘late cancellation’ fee. These charges are the responsibility of the patient or guardian and will be billed directly. If a patient is more than 10 minutes late to start the visit, the scheduled appointment cannot be guaranteed, and a fee will be applied.

Declaration and Privacy

On behalf of myself and my dependents, I have read the above and received the current FirstMed price list. I understand payment is due when services are rendered and that I may ask about costs before any test or procedure is administered.

By completing the registration form, I declare that I accept the Privacy Policy of Firstmed-FMC Kft. (seat: 1015 Budapest, Hattyú utca 14.; Reg: 01-09-958986; “Data Controller”) based on Directive (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Being sufficiently informed, I voluntarily consent and authorize the Data Controller to handle and check my personal data in compliance with the Privacy Policy.

To protect each other’s health, we kindly ask that you wear a mask during your visit if you have respiratory symptoms (runny nose, sore throat, cough) or fever
