Global Pediatric Exchange in Budapest

At FirstMed, medicine has always been about more than borders; it is about people, shared learning, and progress. This philosophy came to life recently in Budapest, when FirstMed had the honor of participating in an international educational exchange on Treatment Review and Innovation in Pediatrics, with a delegation of 35 pediatricians from the Philippines.

Bringing Together Diverse Expertise

The visit brought together a diverse group of general pediatricians and specialists working in both urban and rural settings. Despite differences in healthcare systems and geography, the exchange highlighted many pediatric challenges and solutions. Through dialogue and shared clinical experience, the event fostered meaningful international cooperation and understanding.

Engaging Presentations

FirstMed physicians Zsófia Laufer and Zsófia Kálmán delivered presentations that reflected FirstMed’s commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care. The event was organized by MIMS Pte Ltd, a leading provider of trusted medical education and healthcare information across the Asia-Pacific region.

Focus on Child-Centered Care

While Zsófia Laufer delivered a comprehensive presentation on children’s skulls, Zsófia Kálmán emphasized integrating current medical knowledge with compassionate, child-focused care. She highlighted the importance of observation, communication, and personalized information, as well as the pediatrician’s role in identifying early signs of ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and special communication needs (SCN).

Interactive Discussions

The discussion quickly became interactive, with participants asking insightful questions about speech delays, communication approaches, and the use of supportive technologies for children with special needs. The level of engagement reflected a shared dedication to early diagnosis and improved long-term outcomes for pediatric patients.

Reinforcing International Knowledge Exchange

Events like this reinforce FirstMed’s belief that international knowledge exchange strengthens healthcare everywhere. By sharing expertise across borders, physicians gain new perspectives, deepen clinical understanding, and ultimately provide better care for their patients.

Commitment to Educational Initiatives

FirstMed is proud to support educational initiatives that promote collaboration, learning, and global medical partnerships. Sincere thanks to MIMS for organizing this inspiring exchange. We look forward to continuing our cooperation and building bridges through medicine.
