The Premium Plan – Child offers essential medical care specifically for kids under 16, featuring FirstMed’s pediatric services. Ensure your children receive the quality healthcare they need to thrive!
Essential pediatric care
The Premium Plan – Child includes the following examinations with FirstMed pediatricians and available pediatric specialists over a year.
General pediatric care and pediatric specialist visits
- 2 general pediatrician visits or follow-up per month – in person at our clinic or via Telemedicine, including:
- 2 in-house pediatric specialist consultations or follow-ups per plan year, if medically indicated, with listed FirstMed pediatric specialists, not limited to the following:
- Child Sleep Therapist
- Allergy Specialist/Immunologist
- Dermatologist (for children over 3 years)
- Ophthalmologist (for children over 6 years)
- Radiologist
- ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) specialist
- Pediatric Neurologist
- Pediatric Endocrinologist
- Pediatric Surgeon
- Pulmonologist
- Neonatologist
- After-hours urgent care (available with an additional discounted surcharge).
Vaccinations
- All mandatory vaccinations on the Hungarian schedule (additional vaccines are charged separately),
- Annual flu vaccination;
- Pre-travel checkup and vaccinations (vaccines are charged additionally).
Preventive exams for children
- Well-Child Check (as recommended, depending on the child’s age)
- School Physical Exam
Other pediatric-related services
Once a year, the following services:
- Pediatric physical therapy
- Dietetics (nutritional consultation)
On-site diagnostics
- FirstMed basic lab tests,
- Imaging diagnostic examinations (on-site x-ray and ultrasound),
if medically indicated.
Exclusions and Additional Charges
The plan will not cover any medical services not specifically mentioned above. Additional FirstMed services or consultations beyond those included in the Plan can be obtained at discounted prices offered to Value Card holders or with a 35% discount from the full Price List.
The exclusions are not limited to the list below:
- Specialist Procedures: The plan does not cover specialist procedures, including but not limited to: Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, Allergology, and Endoscopy. Procedures will be priced at the Value Card prices or with a 35% discount, whichever is less.
- Medications, vaccinations and medical supplies (i.e. bandages, crutches, casts and splint application etc).
- Drug Abuse, Alcoholism, and Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Diagnosis and treatment of conditions arising from drug abuse, alcoholism, or sexually transmitted diseases are excluded.
- Laboratory Tests: The plan covers basic lab tests ordered by a FirstMed doctor. Patients requesting their own labs will be asked to pay at the time of service. Some specialized labs are not covered by this plan. Please ask our receptionists about the laboratory tests included in the plan. All other lab tests shall be paid for by the plan holder with a 35% discount from the full listed price.
- Discounts may not be combined.
Terms and Conditions
Please note the following terms and conditions below:
- Specialist Availability: FirstMed covers medical specialties currently contracted and available at our clinic. Specialist availability is subject to their schedules and employment status. We are not required to provide a replacement if a specialist is unavailable due to full schedules, holidays, or departure.
- Additional Costs: Services provided or arranged by FirstMed that are not included in the scope of the Plan incur additional costs. Please inquire about prices prior to treatment.
- Consultation Appointments: A consultation appointment covers a routine exam time slot, typically lasting up to the following durations: Primary Care (30 minutes), Specialist (20-30 minutes).
- Long Visits: Examinations requiring more time than mentioned above shall be counted as two (2) visits (except the Annual Health Exam / Well-Child Check). First-time visits for Neurology, Diabetes, Pulmonology, and other specialties are all 60 minutes.
- Follow-up Visits: ‘Follow-up’ visits count towards the plan totals (except for Health Maintenance Exam).
- Missing an appointment (“No Show”) or late cancellation (within 24 hours before the visit) will count towards the visits included in the Plan. Repeated ‘No-shows’ or late cancellations may be grounds to terminate the Plan.
- Outside Appointments: FirstMed is not responsible for organizing outside appointments. Contact details for external consultants or facilities will be provided, but planholders must book and pay at the point of service.
Plan validity and renewal
- The Premium Plan – Child is available for children between 1 and 15 years of age at the start of the plan term. From the age of 16 and above, we recommend our adult plans.
- Plan Validity: The Plan is valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
- Loyalty discount: To maintain the loyalty discount, plans must be renewed promptly upon expiration and paid within seven (7) days of the expiration date. Plans renewed beyond this period, without prior agreement from FirstMed, will be considered new plans for the purpose of the loyalty discount.
