Parents have the opportunity to see their baby smile, yawn, suck on their fingers, scratch their nose and show other newborn behaviours.
The procedure takes 20-30 minutes:
- First, a fetal wellbeing check is carried out.
- Then some time is spent getting the best possible images of the baby.
- A 4D film is made during the procedure which you will get on a DVD to take home.
The best time for this scan is around 25 weeks of pregnancy.
