Looking for a pediatrician who can also help with breastfeeding and newborn feeding challenges? Dr. Erika Bodnár provides pediatric care for infants and children up to 18 years old at FirstMed Budapest, with particular expertise in premature babies and newborns.

As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Dr. Bodnár supports mothers through breastfeeding challenges and guides expectant parents on newborn care in the first weeks after birth. She also advises parents more broadly on childcare topics, from feeding to general infant health.

Dr. Bodnár earned her medical degree from the University of Szeged in 2018. She has worked in the Premature Infant Intensive Care and Neonatal Department at Péterfy Sándor Street Hospital since then, and gained further pediatric experience at Heim Pál Hospital and the Semmelweis University Pediatric Clinics. She passed her pediatric specialist exam in 2024. She earned a diploma in lactation consulting from Semmelweis University in 2022 and became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2026.

Before her medical career, Dr. Bodnár worked as a nurse with a focus on nephrology and dialysis care, gaining experience across several hospitals and dialysis centers.

Dr. Bodnár speaks Hungarian and English fluently. She has taught baby first aid courses for parents in both languages.
