Your health is our top priority! We are here for our existing patients with out-of-hours care and guidance to address their urgent health concerns that may arise or if they need medical assistance without delay.
At FirstMed, our clinic is committed to providing comprehensive care for our patients. We are open seven days a week to ensure that you have access to medical care when you need it. In addition to our regular opening hours, our on-call doctors are also available to address our patients’ urgent medical needs outside of clinic hours.
This means that if you are an existing patient at FirstMed and you experience a sudden, severe illness, our expert English-speaking GPs and pediatricians will be ready to assist you or your children and provide the necessary care even outside of our regular opening hours. We prioritize your well-being and are dedicated to being there for you when you need us the most.
How can our existing patients get urgent care at FirstMed?
“If you or your child become seriously ill, or if your condition worsens and doesn’t improve quickly, our on-call GPs and pediatricians are available to help. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have a health concern that cannot be delayed — we will be happy to assist you.”
Please follow the instructions below to get in touch with our on-call doctor:
- Call the clinic at +36-1-224-9090 — we are available 24/7.
- Please provide us with your full name, date of birth, and contact information. Also, please describe your symptoms or concerns briefly.
- Our staff may schedule the earliest available appointment with you during regular business hours, or if the condition is more severe, connect you with our on-call doctor.
- The medical professional on the line will assess your condition and provide the most appropriate advice, ensuring your peace of mind.
- Depending on the severity, we can help you with the following:
- Suggest an appointment for consultation via Telemedicine or medical examination at the clinic.
- Recommend immediate hospitalization if the problem is more severe.
- Suggest an ambulance; we may connect you with a local provider.
If you’re a regular patient and require hospitalization, we’ll keep your doctor at FirstMed updated and be available to address any concerns.
After-hours fee
Please note that an extra fee will be charged in addition to the visit price for consultations or medical examinations scheduled outside our regular appointment times. For more details, please refer to our price list or your healthcare plan conditions.
Why is it necessary to call ahead first for out-of-hours care?
- There may be times when a doctor is unavailable in the clinic.
- In more urgent cases, you may be requested to go directly to the hospital, not the clinic.
What our patients say about our emergency treatments
“I’ve been a patient at FirstMed for several years. Even though I have Hungarian health insurance, I still enroll annually in the Premium Plan with FirstMed. I’ve had two emergencies where I got immediate and top-notch care. One of these emergencies took place at 11 pm on a Saturday, and the physician met me at the office before having me admitted to a hospital. As for mundane illnesses, like colds, flu, and annual checkups, I’ve received the best care. I have a regular GP I see there, but I have seen others when he’s not available, and all have given me excellent care. I just recommended FirstMed to another expat.”
