  1. Call the clinic at +36-1-224-9090 — we are available 24/7.
  2. Give us your name, date of birth, and contact information. Describe your symptoms or concerns briefly.
  3. Our staff will schedule the earliest available appointment with you during our regular business hours, or if the situation is more serious, we may connect you to an on-call doctor.
  4. The medical professional on the line will assess your condition and give you appropriate advice.
  5. Depending on the severity, our doctor can help you with the following:
    • Suggest a consultation via Telemedicine or medical examination at the clinic.*
    • Recommend immediate hospitalization if the problem is more severe.
    • Suggest an ambulance; we may connect you with a local provider.

*Please note that an additional after-hours fee will be charged for consultations or medical examinations outside our regular appointment times. See more details on our price list.

If you are our regular patient and need to stay in the hospital, we will follow up on your progress. We will share it with your doctor at FirstMed, communicate with you and the medical staff regularly, and be available to sort out any problems.

Why is it necessary to call ahead first?

  • There may be times when a doctor is unavailable in the clinic.
  • In more urgent cases, you may be requested to go directly to the hospital, not the clinic.

How should you prepare for emergency treatment?

To ensure a quick and efficient response during emergencies,

Being prepared for stressful situations helps you handle them better and can help you respond more effectively.

What our patients say

“I’ve been a patient at FirstMed for several years. Even though I have Hungarian health insurance, I still enroll annually in the Premium Plan with FirstMed. I’ve had two emergencies where I got immediate and top-notch care. One of these emergencies took place at 11 pm on a Saturday, and the physician met me at the office before having me admitted to a hospital. As for mundane illnesses, like colds, flu, and annual checkups, I’ve received the best care. I have a regular GP I see there, but I have seen others when he’s not available, and all have given me excellent care. I just recommended FirstMed to another expat.”
