Discover Premium Plan Benefits for Children
The Premium Plan – Child provides affordable access during a whole year to FirstMed’s pediatric services available for children under 16, as it includes:
Medical checkups, vaccinations, and examinations
The Premium Plan includes the following visits and examinations with our pediatricians and available pediatric specialists:
- 2 unrelated pediatric visits or follow-up visits per month, with a FirstMed pediatrician – in person at our clinic or via Telemedicine.
- All mandatory vaccinations on the Hungarian schedule (additional vaccines are charged separately),
- Annual flu shot
- Travel Consultation (not including vaccinations)
- 2 in-house specialist consultations or follow-ups per plan year, if medically indicated, with listed FirstMed pediatric specialists not limited to the following:
- Allergy Specialist/Immunologist
- Dermatologist
- Ophthalmologist (over 5 years old)
- Radiologist
- ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) specialist
- Pediatric Neurologist
- Pediatric Endocrinologist
- Pediatric Surgeon
- Pulmonologist
- Neonatologist
Preventative exams for children
- Well-Child Check (as recommended, depending on the child’s age)
- School Physical Exam
Diagnostics and other pediatric services
- Basic laboratory tests and imaging diagnostics (on-site x-ray and ultrasound), if medically indicated.
- COVID tests: When the child needs a COVID antigen test to see a FirstMed Doctor. Requested or further tests are with a 35% discount from the full price list.
- One occasion per plan year of each of the services below:
- Annual dental check-up with Fürstner Dentistry
- Physical therapy
- Nutritionist consultation
- 35% discount on the price of selected outside medical consultations, exams, and surgeon fees organized and billed by FirstMed.
- After-hours visits for a discounted additional charge.
Exclusions and additional charges
The Plan will not cover any medical services not specifically mentioned above. FirstMed pediatric specialists are limited to those currently contracted. The exclusions are not limited to the list below:
- Outside consultations / Home visits / Hospital care / Ambulance transportation
- ENG / EMG / EEG diagnostics / CT scan / MRI diagnostics
- Sleep study
- Orthopedic procedures and orthopedic medical supply rental
- Medications, vaccinations further to the above, disposable medical supplies (i.e., bandages, casts, splint application, etc.)
- Rental/Purchase of medical supplies and equipment (i.e., crutches, CPAP machine, nebulizer, etc.)
- Dental care
- Laser treatments and bone density screening
- Immunotherapy
- Routine medical maintenance or treatment of chronic conditions, e.g., frequent injections or diagnostics, may be accepted on a case-by-case basis but otherwise are excluded.
- The Plan covers basic lab tests ordered by a FirstMed doctor. Please ask our receptionists about the laboratory tests included in the plan. All other lab tests, as well as ‘patient requested’ ones, shall be paid for.
Premium Plan – Child Terms and Conditions
Please note the following terms and conditions below:
- Specialist Availability: FirstMed covers medical specialties currently available at our clinic. Specialist availability is subject to their schedules and employment status. We are not required to provide a replacement if a specialist is unavailable due to full schedules, holidays, or departure.
- Specialist Procedures: The plan does not cover specialist procedures, including but not limited to: Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, Allergology, and Endoscopy. Procedures will be priced at the Value Card price or a 35% discount, whichever is less.
- Additional Services: Additional services or consultations beyond the amounts included in the Plan can be obtained at ‘Value Card’ prices.
- Consultation Appointments: A consultation appointment covers a routine exam time slot up to given times: Primary Care (30 minutes), Specialist (20-30 minutes). Examinations requiring longer than this period shall be counted as two visits.
- Missed or Canceled Appointments: Missed or canceled appointments within 24 hours count towards the visits included in the Plan. Repeated ‘No-shows’ or late cancellations may be grounds to terminate the plan.
- Follow-up Visits: ‘Follow-up’ visits count towards the plan totals (except for Well-Child Checks or School Physical Exams).
- Additional Costs: Services provided or arranged by FirstMed that are not included in the scope of the Premium Plan may involve additional costs. Please inquire about prices prior to treatment.
- Outside Appointments: FirstMed is not responsible for organizing outside appointments. Contact details for external consultants or facilities will be provided, but planholders must book and pay at the point of service.
- Plan Validity and Renewal: The Plan is valid for one year from the date of purchase. Plans must be renewed within 7 days of the previous plan’s expiration to maintain a loyalty discount. Plans renewed beyond this period, without prior agreement from FirstMed, will be considered new plans for the purpose of the loyalty discount.
- Discounts may not be combined.
