Additional diagnostics and procedures
Endoscopy Center
At our state-of-the-art endoscopy center, we perform colonoscopies and gastroscopies to assess gastrointestinal health. A colonoscopy examines the large intestine to identify issues like polyps and signs of colorectal cancer, while a gastroscopy evaluates the upper gastrointestinal tract to diagnose conditions such as acid reflux and ulcers.
Cardiac Stress Test
The cardiac stress test assesses blood flow to the heart while a patient exercises and rests. It is especially useful for detecting coronary heart disease in patients at higher risk due to age, family history, or other health conditions. Our doctor may recommend this test to examine the heart's function and identify any issues that may require further evaluation.
Neurological Diagnostics
We use advanced techniques to assess nerve and muscle function, including electromyography to evaluate muscle electrical activity and nerve conduction studies to measure the speed and strength of nerve signals. We also utilize Doppler and duplex ultrasound to visualize blood flow and detect abnormalities in vascular structures related to neurological health.
Otoacoustic Emission Testing
Otoacoustic Emissions (OAE) tests are primarily conducted on infants and young children to assess how the inner ear responds to sound. These tests measure the faint sounds produced by the inner ear when stimulated, offering insights into auditory function. Additionally, OAE tests can be used for adults to detect and diagnose hearing loss, making them an important tool for early intervention in auditory issues.
Shockwave Therapy
Explore the benefits of shockwave therapy, a highly efficient addition to FirstMed's physical therapy treatments.
