Dr. Ildikó Hegedűs
Psychiatrist
Dr. Ildikó Hegedűs joined FirstMed in 2019 as a qualified psychiatrist and psychotherapist specializing in analytical approaches. In her psychiatric care, she employs a psychodynamic method and emphasizes recognizing post-traumatic conditions. She focuses on exploring the transgenerational effects of social and individual traumas and believes that multicultural awareness and interest are essential for understanding the wide range of psychiatric symptoms.
Additionally, Ildikó offers medicinal treatment for ADHD in adults, for those whose condition has already been diagnosed through psychological tests.
For more than 20 years, she has operated a private practice and worked at a district family counseling and child protection center in Budapest. She has also been providing psychiatric care and psychotherapy to refugees and asylum seekers at the Cordelia Foundation.
Earlier, she spent approximately 10 years laying the foundations for her professional identity at the Pesthidegkút Psychotherapy Department, and prior to that, at the Hungarian National Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology (OPNI).
