Phone
The best way to book an appointment is by calling our main number, +36 1 224 9090.
All our calls can be answered in English or Hungarian.
Sometimes, we can get very busy (usually between 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m.) with nonstop calls, and therefore, phones cannot be answered right away. You can either stay on the line and let it ring or just leave us a message. If you don’t hear back from us in 30 minutes, try calling us again or sending us an email.
If you want to make an appointment, the easiest way is by phone, but for non-urgent matters, you can reach us by email: phonenurse@firstmedcenter.com. We respond to email as soon as possible.
Chat
Another way to reach us is via chat through our page on Google Maps or via the blue chatbox on our website [lower right corner]. However, if your matter is urgent, please call, as we prioritize the phone calls first.
Since chat is slower, there may be long gaps while we continue to answer the phone. The best use of chat would be for you to send us a phone number so we can call you.
FirstMed is a multi-specialty primary care clinic.
That means GPs (General Practitioners/family doctors / Internists) and a pediatrician are available in the clinic during our regular opening hours, Monday through Sunday.
We offer regular specialist hours to meet our patients’ needs. Gynecology, dermatology, orthopedics, minor surgery, ophthalmology, and ear-nose-throat treatments are available generally four days a week, occasionally extending to five days. While some specialists allocate fewer clinic hours, we strive to align our scheduled hours with the demand to the best of our ability. Please check our list of specialists here.
Some specialists require a medical referral before they can be seen, ensuring that our patients receive the appropriate care and attention they need. Cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and pulmonology are specialists that cannot be directly booked and require a referral (from a FirstMed or an outside doctor).
The Premium plan provides the optimal amount and types of visits most regular patients need. In a nutshell, the plan includes:
- 20 primary care (GP / Gynecology) visits,
- 8 visits with selected specialists,
- on-site diagnostics,
- preventative exams,
- and more

How to find the clinic?
FirstMed is located in Budapest’s city center, near Széll Kálmán tér.

There are parking lots reserved for our patients in the underground garage of Hattyúház.
Type ‘FirstMed’ into Waze or Google Maps to get directions.
You will need to drive down Hattyú utca, taking the first right up Batthyány utca (there is a tiny little square there). Up the hill, you’ll see the Hattyúház on the right (big, stone-faced building). Take a right down the hill, and our garage entrance will be on the right. The entrance is opposite the building at Fiáth János utca 16.
Just buzz the FirstMed call box, and we will open the gate.
Please note that our patient parking is on the bottom floor and clearly designated with signs. Our spaces may seem narrow if you have a large car and are not confident in parking. All cars can be parked, but if you are nervous, we suggest parking on the street; however, payment is needed.
Metro: We are located in a 5-minute walk from the Széll Kálmán M2 Metro station [Red Line]
From Széll Kálmán tér, head towards the Mammut shopping mall. Hattyú utca opens on the right. Hattyúház is located on the right, opposite a Shell gas station.
Tram: If you arrive with the 4, 6, or 17 tram, get off at Széna tér stop. The clinic is opposite the Mammut shopping mall, across the street from the Shell gas station.
Appointment booking
When scheduling your appointment, our team will assist you in identifying the appropriate specialist and checking their availability. Once a suitable time slot is agreed upon, our staff will securely input your information into our system.
To ensure efficient retrieval of your records from our extensive patient database, kindly provide your date of birth in the format of year, month, and day. Alternatively, we can locate you by the name under which you are registered.
Upon successful booking, you will promptly receive a confirmation email within 10 to 15 minutes. Please take a moment to review the details for accuracy. Should you not receive a confirmation within 30 minutes. Please reach out to us, as the email address may be incorrect, or the message could be in your spam folder.
Patients are kindly requested to avoid missing their scheduled appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. This not only avoids any inconvenience but also respects the time of both the patient and the medical staff. Failure to attend appointments or late cancellations will count against your plan totals. Repeated instances of missed appointments or late cancellations may incur penalty fees or, in severe cases, suspension of your plan.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start of your appointment so that the staff can keep the schedules. Sometimes, there is a lot of traffic, especially during rush hour; please plan accordingly. If you are checked more than 10 minutes past the starting time, the doctor may refuse to see you for lack of time.
