The First Year Plan includes the following on-site medical services for children from birth through to their first year:
Our First Year Plan combines all necessary first-year routine infant visits, keeps your infant on track with the Hungarian vaccination schedule*, includes two sick-child pediatric visits, and offers additional complementary tests and services.
During exams, our devoted English-speaking pediatricians monitor your child’s growth and development and ensure their immunizations are up to date according to their age.
Well-child checkups necessary in the first year:
Nine well-child checkups throughout the year, according to the following schedule:
- In the first week after coming home from the hospital
- Week 2
- Month 1
- Month 2
- Month 3
- Month 4
- Month 6
- Month 9
- Month 12
Each well-child visit includes
Detailed medical review:
- Medical history
- Eating habits
- Sleep patterns
- Psycho-motor development
Complete physical examination, including checks of:
- Internal organs, including the heart and lungs
- Reflexes, skin, and genitalia
- Height, body weight, and head circumference measurement
*Please note: Over the course of these exams, our doctors may discover issues that could require specialized treatment. In these cases, they would refer the patient to a specialist. Such specialist visits are not covered under this plan.
Two sick visits to the clinic
- The plan provides for two optional pediatrician visits to the clinic during regular hours if your baby becomes sick.
- If there is a doctor-recommended follow-up visit, it is included as part of one “sick child visit” at no additional cost.
- Additional sick visits will be charged at a discounted price available for Value Card holders.
*For visits outside of regular hours, additional fees would apply. Specialist visits are not included.
First-year immunization
The First Year plan includes all the mandatory vaccinations on the Hungarian schedule.
Hungarian Vaccination Schedule
- DTaP (3x) Diphtheria, Tetanus, Acellular pertussis vaccine
- IPV (3x) Inactivated polio vaccine
- Hib (3x) Haemophilus influenzae type b
- PCV (2x) Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
*If you do not wish to follow the Hungarian vaccination schedule or would like additional vaccinations, the cost of the vaccines will be charged separately.
